Plural nouns
Some words for things are always plural, e.g., glasses, headphones, scissors. Don't use a/ an with plural nouns. NOT~~a glasses~~, ~~a headphones~~.

ACTIVATION Cover the words and look at the photos. In pairs, ask and answer.

It's a book. It's a watch. It's a dictionary. It's an umbrella. It's an ID card.	They're books. They're watches. They're dictionaries. They're umbrellas. They're ID cards.

► We use a / an with singular nouns.
► We use an with a noun beginning with a vowel (a, e, i, o, u).
► We use a with nouns beginning with u or eu when the sound = /yu/, e.g., a university, aeuro.
► We don't use a / an with plural nouns. They're books. NOT ~~They're a books~~

3. PRONUNCIATION final -s and -es
